Why The Chaotic Frenemies Alliance is the Best

Big Brother 27 has had several alliances throughout the first half of the season that have struggled to work together, but despite hiccups, one alliance is superior to the rest. As Big Brother 27 continues, the houseguests are beginning to dwindle as evictions keep taking out formidable players, leaving just a handful of houseguests left in the season’s interesting mix.

While there have been a few major alliances in the game, this season has been a shocking one in terms of who trusts each other and who strays apart. With some Big Brother 27 houseguests feeling like they can’t fully trust the people they’re aligned with, it’s been interesting to see where loyalties lie as the game moves into its middling stretch.

Though there were a few larger alliances earlier in the season, the most prominent at this point in the game is The Judges, comprised of Vince Panaro, Morgan Pope, Rachel Reilly, Will Williams, and Ashley Hollis. While it’s possible The Judges game has fizzled out over the last few weeks, one alliance that’s been hot and cold all season takes the cake.

Big Brother 27’s Frenemies Alliance Can Be Chaotic

Big Brother 27’s Frenemies alliance, comprised of Keanu Soto and Rachel Reilly, has been a duo that’s come together and fallen apart several times this season. Keanu, a personal trainer who moonlights as a Dungeons & Dragons dungeon master, has been hopeful about playing with BB legend Rachel throughout the game. While he doesn’t always value her wisdom, she doles it out frequently.

Rachel, who returned to the game for the first time in 15 years after winning Big Brother 13, hoped to play the role of a coach coming into the house. Explaining to several houseguests that she wanted to offer them her BB knowledge to make their way through the game, Keanu was one of the few who genuinely wanted to align.

Rachel & Keanu Have Gone From Allies To Rivals More Than Once

Although Rachel and Keanu are the best alliance of the season, it’s not because of their powerful gameplay or their strategic mastery. Throughout the season, Keanu and Rachel have betrayed each other multiple times, struggling to actually get on the same page. Playing two very different games, Keanu has valued Rachel’s loyalty, but often refuses to see the game from her perspective.

While Rachel has only directly tried to push Keanu as a potential nominee once in the game, Keanu has flip-flopped on whether or not he’s coming for Rachel throughout the season. Despite their different game styles and their struggles to find their footing, when Keanu and Rachel are working together, it’s incredible to watch the drama, strategy, and arguments unfold.

Big Brother 27’s Other Alliances Aren’t Valuing Trust Or Safety

While Keanu and Rachel aren’t always the most well-established alliance, the pair have more loyalty to each other than most other Big Brother 27 alliances. The majority of players this season have managed to send home their own allies, which has caused a strange lack of formalized alliances in the game. Big Brother 27 would benefit from other strong duos, even if they’re chaotic.

Big Brother airs Sundays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
