Tanya Michelle and her family adopted a tiny 3-week-old kitten who had been rejected by his mother. Tanya’s youngest daughter, who was almost 2 at the time, named him Meow Meow. He quickly became a cherished family member.

When Tanya’s daughter was about 8 years old, Meow Meow became very ill. The family feared they might lose him. During this time, Tanya’s daughter made Meow Meow promise not to cross “the rainbow bridge” until she graduated from high school.

Meow Meow, now 17, recovered from his illness and kept his promise. To celebrate, the family included Meow Meow in the teen’s graduation photo shoot, complete with his own matching cap and gown.
