“So we are on vacation in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge and today we went to Ripley’s Believe It or Not!. While we were there, my 13 yr old set her phone down to do an interactive activity and then we continued on through, not realizing she had left the phone behind. By the time we realized it, about 20 mins had passed and we immediately went back to look for the phone…

The whole time I’m fussing at her about how expensive it will be to replace, that she will be responsible to pay for it, and I also fussed at her for turning her location services off, which would have made finding the phone much easier!

She’s a great kid and always believes the best in people and kept telling me she really hopes someone turned the phone in. We get back there and are searching all over while I go on fussing, telling her that while I hope that too, but more than likely, someone picked it up and will try and sell it and that unfortunately, you really can’t trust people to do the right thing anymore…

We finally get to the main desk and ask if anyone has turned the phone in and 3 staff members excitedly say, YES! We were so thankful it was found and turned in! And I was even more thankful that there are still good people out there in the world!!!

Because I’m Mom, I confiscated the phone for a few hours. Upon receiving the gift of her phone back, she also received a wonderful gift in the form of selfies! I want to thank this young man, from the bottom of my heart, for proving me wrong!!! And I especially want to thank his parents for raising him to be honest and kind, and to show amazing integrity at such a young age! YOU DID GOOD WITH THIS ONE!”
