Jase Robertson Is Sorely Missing From Duck Dynasty: The Revival

The Robertson family are back in duck-hunting action on Duck Dynasty: The Revival, the reboot of the beloved original reality show, Duck Dynasty, but a few family members, like son Jase Robertson, are sorely missing from the new show. Duck Dynasty originally ran on A&E from 2012 through 2017, and the new show picks up with the family eight years after their show went off the air. A lot has changed for the Robertsons, including the absence of patriarch Phil Robertson.

Phil wasn’t supposed to appear on the reboot due to health issues, but the family released a statement announcing Phil had passed just before the reboot premiered. While the main focus of the reboot is on the next generation of Robertsons, including Sadie Robertson and Bella Robertson, their father, Willie Robertson, is also a fixture. There were reports that Willie’s brother, Jase, would appear on the reboot in some capacity. So far, Jase and his family have been absent from the reboot, leading to questions about whether Jase would be featured at all.

Who Is Jase Robertson?

Jase Is The Son Of Phil Robertson

Jase is the son of Phil and Kay Robertson. He is their second-born son, joining older brother Marshal “Alan” Robertson and followed by younger brothers Willie and Jep Robertson. As part of the Robertson family dynasty, he joined them in the duck-hunting business, working for years at Duck Commander, their family business. Jase served as the COO of the family business, alongside brother Willie, who acted as CEO.

Jase is married to Missy Robertson, and together, they have three children: Reed, Cole, and Mia. They are also the grandparents to Reed’s three children. Their daughter, Mia, was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, and the family have worked to make Mia’s life as normal as possible. They even started a foundation, Mia Moo, to support other children born with cleft palates.

Jase Robertson’s Journey On Duck Dynasty

Jase Appeared On All 11 Seasons Of Original Duck Dynasty

Jase’s time on Duck Dynasty was marked by conflicts with his brother, Willie, and their struggles to make Duck Commander the most successful it could be. Jase was known as the more lackadaisical brother, who preferred hunting and fishing to working, which caused tension between the brothers. Still, he was a skilled duck hunter who was a valuable member of the team.

Jase later hosted a podcast, Unashamed, with his father, Phil, and brother, Alan. Jase also starred on another Duck Dynasty spin-off, Duck Family Treasure. The podcast is still currently airing, while season 3 of Duck Family Treasure aired in late 2024.

Why Isn’t Jase Robertson On Duck Dynasty: The Revival?

Original reports stated that Jase would have some kind of a presence on the family’s new TV show, but he has not appeared so far. He teased an appearance on an episode of Unashamed, stating that he’d done a “quick favor for Willie” that “turned into a 10-hour filming session for Duck Dynasty: The Revival.” His niece, Sadie, recently set the record straight on Jase’s role on the show.

Sadie told Taste of Country that the reason her uncles Jase and Jep were not appearing on Duck Dynasty: The Revival season 1 because they no longer worked for Duck Commander. She revealed that Duck Dynasty: The Revival season 2, which is already being filmed, will feature more family members, though she did not specifically mention her uncles.

“Season 2 we are actually already filming. There’s more cast members from the original show on Season 2.”

Seems like Jase is being kept busy with his podcast, growing family, and other business endeavors. Still, fans miss his presence on the show and hope he appears more on season 2. In the meantime, he keeps the public updated on his life through his podcast and social media.

Duck Dynasty: The Revival airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT on A&E.
