“I just want to take a moment to give a huge shout-out to Betlyn Heating and Cooling. I came home with my boys to a freezing house—50 degrees inside—and when turning up the thermostat didn’t get the furnace going, I called Betlyn’s. I was fully expecting to leave a message and then rush to the store for space heaters. But instead, Paul, the owner, answered the call. He was incredibly patient, walking me through several steps to try and fix the issue. Unfortunately, nothing worked, and Paul said he would need to come over to take a look.
While he worked on the furnace, we started chatting about my husband, Bobby, and his deployment. I mentioned that I had tried to figure things out with him, but since he’s deployed, it was hard for him to help.
After Paul finished up, I was a little nervous about what the cost would be. But when he handed me the bill, I was stunned. It was a slip for $1—a joke, as Paul explained when I tried to pay him. He simply asked me to thank my husband for his service.
So, thank you, Paul Betlyn. My house is warm again because of your kindness and generosity. It means more than you know.”
