ABC announced the full cast of celebrities who will be competing in the ballroom for Dancing with the Stars season 34. A few of the cast members were already announced over the past several weeks, including conservationist Robert Irwin, influencer Alix Earle, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives‘ Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, and Alec Baldwin’s wife Hilaria Baldwin.
In a Taylor Swift crossover, it was recently revealed that Jan Ravnik, one of the pop superstar’s dancers from the Eras Tour, will be joining Dancing with the Stars season 34 as a professional dancer.
The Dancing With The Stars season 34 cast and their dance partners have now full revealed. Good Morning America reported that Irwin will be paired with Witney Carson. Earle’s pro partner will be Val Chmerkovskiy. For the Mormon Wives stars, Ravnik is set to be Affleck’s dance partner, while Mark Ballas is teaming up with Leavitt. Meanwhile, Baldwin’s partner will be Gleb Savchenko.
Also taking to the dance floor are Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles (with pro dancer Ezra Sosa), NBA athlete and business executive Baron Davis (with Britt Stewart), reality star Dylan Efron (with Daniella Karagach), ’80s child star Corey Feldman (with Jenna Johnson), Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel (with Pasha Pashkov), and The Parent Trap star Elaine Hendrix (with Alan Bersten).
Two singers will be competing during DWTS season 34, including Pentatonix’s Scott Hoying (with Rylee Arnold) and Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui (with Brandon Armstrong). Conan’s former late night sidekick Andy Richter (with Emma Slater) has also joined the cast.
What New Cast Means For DWTS Season 34
Dancing with the Stars always casts a wide array of celebrities and pseudo-celebrities each season, from actors and singers to athletes and reality TV stars. Dancing with the Stars season 34 is clearly no different.
Athletes have dominated over the years, with Emmitt Smith, Shawn Johnson, and Iman Shumpert, among others, all taking home the Mirrorball Trophy. Based on that history, Chiles and Davis could have the upper edge.
Irwin’s family is very familiar with DWTS. His sister Bindi Irwin actually won DWTS season 21. Meanwhile, some of the cast members previously competed on other reality shows. Hoying wonThe Sing-Offseason 3 with his group Pentatonix, and Efron wonThe Traitorsseason 3. Jauregui came in third place with Fifth Harmony during The X Factorseason 2.
Our Take On DWTS Season 34 Cast
Several of these celebrities know what it’s like to be part of a competition, so there could be a lot of hard-working contestants and friendly rivalries this fall in the ballroom.
In fact, there’s a great mix of cast members on DWTS this year, and it’ll be fun to see who becomes the frontrunners, and who surprises everyone and possibly comes from behind to win the trophy.
Dancing with the Stars season 34 premieres Tuesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC and Disney Plus.
