Devonte, 13, Sammy, 14, and Shawn, 12, were walking home from school when they saw a man on an A10 overpass in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, UK.

Devonte and Sammy grabbed the man to stop him from jumping while Shawn called for help.

Joanne Stammers, 47, who has a rare condition called Klippel-Trénaunay syndrome, saw what was happening and took over holding the man.

Despite her disability, she held onto him until her arms were bruised. The group managed to physically restrain him and talk him out of jumping until emergency services arrived.

The five heroes, including another man named James Higlett, received awards from the Royal Humane Society for their life-saving intervention.
