BREAKING: President Trump signals that his ‘very aggressive policy on immigration’ may change after learning it is negatively affecting farmers and the leisure industry. – Leading Report
Farmers and businesses in the hotel and leisure industry are stating that the aggressive immigration policies are causing a loss of essential workers, making it difficult to find replacements, and it appears that Trump is considering giving them a “free pass”.
While Trump has stated “changes are coming,” details about these changes remain unclear.
He did suggest that employers could approach the government with lists of undocumented immigrants they employ to lobby for them to remain in the country, with the idea that they could potentially return as legal workers.
Trump has, however, also tried to blame former President Biden for allowing “criminals” to apply for farmworker jobs, implying that these criminals are among those being apprehended and removed. He reiterated the focus on removing criminals while acknowledging the need to protect farmers.
