A tiny rhino calf named Daisy was found just hours after birth, shivering and weak, her chances uncertain. Rescuers brought her into intensive care, where she received constant attention. Still, she was missing something no medicine could provide… a friend.
Not long after, a little zebra foal named Modjadji arrived. She too had been left fighting for her life after a fierce storm. Both had lost their mothers far too soon, yet when they met, something remarkable happened. What started as careful curiosity became a bond that could not be broken.
Today Daisy and Modjadji eat together, play together, and curl up side by side each night. Two survivors finding healing in each other’s presence. One day they will step back into the wild, but for now, they have chosen each other as family.
