While I was in Liberty I noticed a gentleman buying a cart full of milk. Curious, I asked him why.
That is when I met Rick, a retired Marine with a heart of gold. He was stocking up on milk and groceries to make sure no child in his neighborhood goes hungry. This was not his first time doing it either.
Rick told me some families in his community cannot make it to the store or even to the places giving away free lunches for kids. So he takes it upon himself to deliver what they need. He asks for nothing in return.
I told him he is a true hero and that good karma will surely find its way back to him.
Stories like Rick’s remind us that real heroes do not always wear uniforms. Sometimes they carry grocery bags and quietly make the world a better place.
Do you want me to make this one more emotional and heart-tugging so people feel inspired to share it?
