The young Mets prospect will pitch in St. Louis on Sunday for his major league debut.
Tidwell will start the game, and pitching is what he’s best equipped to do.
The fourth-year minor leaguer had been willing to crack into the majors any other way, though, and had tried lobbying his way to the big leagues, including through a fun, memorable plea to VP of pitching Eric Jagers.
